Properties and Recommendations

A 100 % natural anti-aging balm that nourishes, hydrates, and plumps the lips.
It is very rich in omega 6 and 9 thanks to Cupuaçu and Shea Butters as well as Sweet Almond and Jojoba oils. Its anti-wrinkles efficacy comes from a plant used in Ayurvedic Medicine: Commiphora mukul, that provides a plumping effect (like a natural and gentler botox effect), resulting in, silky, luscious lips. The balm also includes sweet orange, magnolia and sandalwood essential oil as well as vanilla extract, with vitamin E added, which give it a soothing action with a sweet aroma.

Key Ingredients

• Commiphora Mukul Extract: well-known in Ayurvedic medicine, this resin is extracted from the root of an Indian tree. It acts as a wrinkle-filling and plumping agent. This tree is similar to the myrrh tree that was part of the gifts offered by the Queen of Saba to King Salomon. This extract helps fill-in wrinkles by increasing the synthesis of lipids; it also tones the skin and has a deep lifting action.

• Cupuaçu Butter: this butter from the Amazonian Rain Forest belongs to the cocoa family. It has a high water absorption capacity (440 %). This gives it an exceptional hydrating potential and ability to replenish the skin. It soothes the lips, heals and gives them elasticity. It is very rich in vitamin C, calcium, magnesium and iron. Its composition with unsaturated fatty acids (omega 6 and 9) makes it an ideal butter for skincare. It melts immediately in contact with the skin; its melting point is around 30°C (86°F).


• Shea Butter: this butter from West Africa is very moisturizing and has healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It softens and smoothes the skin and hair. It stimulates the synthesis of collagen and is thus recommended to prevent wrinkles and skin aging. It protects the skin from weather conditions.

• Sweet almond oil: rich in essential unsaturated fatty acids (it contains about 70 % of Omega 9) and in vitamins, it has nourishing, protective and hydrating properties. It also has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. It is a softener and a tonic for skin.


• Jojoba Oil: this vegetal oil is moisturizing and has a non-greasy touch. It spreads easily due to the presence of unsaponifiable components. Jojoba oil penetrates the epidermis easily, without creating a film, because its characteristics are very close to those of skin’s sebum. It is an antioxidant with anti-age properties. It revitalizes and nourishes skin.

• Sweet orange, magnolia and sandalwood oils: anti-irritating, calming and anti-inflammatory.


• Vanilla Extract: stimulant of the nervous system, it is recommended in case of melancholy or depression. It has soothing properties and contributes a pleasant and sweet flavour to this balm.

• Vitamin E: a main antioxidant of the organism. It protects cells against free radicals; and protects oils from oxidation.

Mechanism of action of Commiphora Mukul extract

Commipheroline is extracted from the root of an Indian tree well-known in Ayurvedic medicine: Commiphora mukul. It presents a plumping effect with two main applications: wrinkle filling for face care and plumping action specific zones (lips, breast).

Skin aging leads to alterations of the skin mechanical properties. The adipose tissue reduction, coupled with the degradation of the extracellular matrix components make the face skin thinner and thinner. Commipheroline helps to maintain the skin tone by acting on two enzymes committed in lipogenesis and in lipolysis chain reactions.
